Who you are
Leadership is about developing people to reach their full potential both at a professional and personal level.
High EQ, ambitious, hard working, critical thinker
Capable and excited about the future
Every person in the world has a set of great qualities and a set of negative ones. It’s hard to point at a person and say that they’re the perfect package and so I admire many people for specific things.
For example, I admire Bill Gates for how much he reads and how intelligent he is partly because of it and how much he’s giving himself now to make the world a better place. I also admire Elon Musk for his vision for the world and how ambitious and hard working he is.
Jack Ma inspired me with his perseverance. The list goes on. None of the ones mentioned so far are perfect, but their drives in specific areas to inspire me.
People who do things only for selfish reasons and personal gain
It’s ever changing. At first, it was to provide financial stability for my family. Now that that’s taken care of, what gets me up in the morning is the ability to have a positive impact with those around me (co-workers, partners, clients of the businesses we help operate, etc.).
As I continue to grow, naturally, I think that my next meaningful work will stand with me passing on my knowledge at a larger scale through courses and speaking engagements.
I would consider everything that I have in my life at the moment to be a success, but I can’t think of anything to have happened unexpected. I worked hard to have everything that I have right now (good family, knowledge, work ethic, etc.).
The only low times in my career that I can remember was in my earlier years when I was being told at nearly every job I had that I was too slow compared to others. Although I didn’t like hearing that, I don’t think I ever let that affect me negatively in any way. I just tried harder, but at the back of my mind I also knew that I needed to find another career where critical thinking was more important than speed.
Never thought about it so I’ll just throw a number without deep thinking – 5 Mil
How you like to work
I used to lean much more towards thoroughness, but over the last year I feel like I switched and I’m much more towards the efficiency side.
I have never filled out this test previously so I just did right now and I got “When responding to the questions you placed an equal value on all four of the personality traits measured.”
Working productively towards something meaningful that has the potential to positively impact a lot of people.
Lots of unproductive meetings with no important take aways
Your role at Acquira
Director of Growth
Good team with awesome goals where I could successfully apply my skillset. I also saw a lot of room for growth for me at a personal and professional level because of the awesome team.
That anyone can shape the way the company operates very easily because everyone listens and is open to new ideas.
I’d love to pick a niche in the home improvement services industry, setup a franchise model in the niche and buy up businesses all throughout North America and putting those businesses under that franchise. Similar to what thejoint.com is doing.
Running that division mentioned above with me having a stake in the franchise.
